Terrible customer loyalty and support. I closed my account after 3 years with a small balance owed, less than 1k. I set up a standing order for €50 a week which clearly bord gais was not happy with. Without contacting me my account was sent on to CMOS debt collectors who were confused to see this went to them and they were more than happy to accept my €20 a week payments through them.

Update: someone came to the house but 2 weeks later, very good service. I had booked and paid for a boiler service but no one turned up on the day and we didn't get any notification. I waited almost 30 minutes for my call to be answered and when it eventually was the woman on the phone was incompetent in dealing with my query. Eventually when I had a new appointment she asked me to keep holding the line (I don't understand why) and then she asked me three times over a few minutes if I needed help with anything else.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the most useless crowd of idiots I've ever come across. Customer service agents who can't understand a word your saying. Waste of time dealing with them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Not in any way helpful in resolving problems that they themselves have caused by their greediness.

Boiler repair/service - no work done, but they look for money I ordered a boiler repair (as no hot water, but heating was working). The technician came in and acknowledged that the boiler was broken (I showed him two parts that I assumed were not working properly, and he didn't check anything else). He advised to buy a new boiler and left. He did not do any other checks (nor pipes, nor rads, nor the rest part of the boiler, nothing), he didn't leave any report or notes. He was in the house for max of 15 mins. Then I received a bill of 99euro. Customer support insisted that he did a full check and was at my house 47 mins. UPD: Hi John, is there any email I can reach out to you with the details? As I do not want to share those publicly. I emailed and called to customer support multiple times; two times they promised to callback in a specific day and time but never called back. I would appreciate your help.

An absolute disgrace of a company. Signed me up for a new contract, dual fuel bundle, processed my order and days later customer care confirmed everything was in order. Some weeks down the line i noticed that my electricity account was never setup. My contract was changed without any notice! Their agents misleading customers over the phone, what a joke! Stay way from this unprofessional company. I regret going with them years ago and I do regret giving them another chance...

Stay away for Gas Boiler Service! They kept me waiting at home on 2 separate days. Nobody came - even bothered to call for my booking. Nothing but rubbish.

What a horrendous company. Their bills are NEVER on time, no competitive prices for loyal customers, and their app and website are so out of date the app crashes with every use. Their customer service seemed shocked when they asked if I was planning on staying with the and could offer me a 5% discount. No thanks! In regards to bills; they'd claim next bill due by, it would be weeks before the bill was issued and they'd take money whenever it pleased then. Thrilled I am no long a customer of theirs.

Be very very careful with this company. They are running one of the biggest con’s in this country. If they ring you and offer you a Free boiler service, just say no. I said yes, and I have been sorry ever since. Absolutely nothing wrong with my Heatingboiler, I have never had an issue with it. This guy came out to my house and told me I need a new boiler and I have been getting emails and letters for a bill of €100 for this service. My boiler is and has always been working fine.

No intentions to use Bord Gais any longer, they overcharged my services every two months (average bill 800€ to 1200€) 1Bed apartment and 2 people working full time from office, for 2 years in a row they overcharged us while we were outside the country for Xmas & New Years eve holidays (32 days out of property) everything shutdown and those were the highest bills over 1000€, every two months stressing out, not worth besides can't afford this sort of electricity bill. I don't recommend bord gais

Good company and hope you reduce your price more

Since signing up I've had nothing but issues. Bills not coming out on time, can't see the bill for about a week after that. The daily usage charts went, even though this was one of their selling points was you can monitor your usage. Then price increase, advise to contact otherwise you were agreeing to hike. Advised I wasn't happy since I only signed up a few weeks earlier and told they wouldn't waive early exit fee even though anything I looked to sign up for was not still in place. Made an official complaint to get a one line answer back and today got a direct debit for a bill I had already paid 2 weeks before that, resulting in getting charged twice. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

So frustrating to be put on hold for 30 mins as the Indian lady could not understand my query. Cancelling my direct debit now in the hope that someone Irish who can understand a simple query will call me back. I hung up after 45 mins

Rang Customer service to set up an account for pay as you go rang over 6 times. Non of the agents had a had the expertise or the correct knowledge how to further assist my query. Out of customer service phone lines, this probably the worst experience I have had. Waste of time my time spend more the 7 hours, and still non the wiser stay well clear from this company waste of time.

Very shady on their pricing policy. Their "EV" bundle looks great, more expensive daytime rate, but a great rate for EV charging at night at just 5 cent per KW. EXCEPT - the standing charge is €150 MORE, for no reason. There are no most costs for what they are doing over a standard smart plan, they are just being deceptive in their pricing and trying to get back the savings you thought you were going to get. Read the small print folks and check the pricing, including standard charges carefully. UPDATE - Loyalty team just rang to offer me a great rate for the upcoming year. Sounded great, almost too good. Rang them back - that was the price for the next 2 weeks and then it goes up 25% !! Imagine trying to get somebody into a 12 month contact based on prices only applicable for 2 weeks and then it goes up 25%.

Avoid this company. The customer service is awful. They made a mistake with my bill and I've been trying for months to pay what I actually owe but you just go round in circles with them. A different person replies to every email, with contradicting info, and nobody calls you back when they say they will. Cant get anybody there to take ownership of the situation.
