its amazing how Bord Gais acknowledge the favourable reviews and disregard the reviews that have an issue Why don't they address the issues

Superb service, especially the 'homecare' boiler service and insurance - and has been consistently so for the last 23 years

I wish I had read the Google Reviews before booking a boiler service with Bord Gáis, but I suppose you just assume that such a big and well known company would be honorable. I made an appointment to have my gas boiler serviced, the earliest available appointment at the time was almost 2 months away but I booked it anyway, the appointment day and time came and went, the "engineer" didn't show up nor could he/she or any representative of Bord Gáis be bothered to phone or make any effort to get in touch. My advice to anyone who needs their boiler serviced but values their time would be.. do not book with Bord Gáis, very disappointing.

Really wished I had read google reviews before signing up . Had the most horrible experience of my life . I was servicing old tenants debts after they asked me to top up and promised to do credit update on the prepaid meter. Now 90e gone without using/heating for a day in this house. Bunch of unprofessional mugus! Luckily, I signed no contract with them. Dumping them for a reasonable and efficient service provider ( although they are all thieves!). Hopefully, they will be a lesser evil . 🤞

I am quite happy with them. The tranfer of operator over to Bord Gais was easy.

I have always found the staff very supportive & love the Circle K 3c reward.

Probabaly the best tradesmen out there, they show up on time, are courteous and very professional.

EXCELLENT SWIFT BOILER SERVICE AT THE APPOINTED TIME , ENGINEER WAS SO POLITE AND COULDNT HAVE BEEN NICER , MORE HELPFUL OR EASIER TO DEAL WITH . DELIGHTED I CHOSE BORD GAIS

Terrible. Smart plan should all have a visible meter in the house so I can see what energy units are been use at any time

Very poor service... The service engineer called and determined with minimal investigation that the boiler was beyond repair. We then receive an estimate of over 2.5k for a new boiler. I sought a second opinion from the manufacturer of the boiler (Vokera)and they repaired and serviced it within 40min of attending. They told us that the boiler was 9 years old and would would last many more years.... Steer well clear of this service unless you want to pay for a new boiler.

As it's not possible to leave 0 stars, I've had to leave 1 Star l. I booked these guys and paid 100 euro deposit. The guy that came out could not have been ruder or more condescending. Instantantly dismissive of my boiler, wasn't a bit interested in doing the service, he said it looked 'old' & just pushed for a replacement. He even queried the pipework on the outside of the house. I ended up asking him to leave my property without the service being done he was such a belligerent and rude ar$3hole.. clearly trying to drum up more work for himself ( a boiler replacement). I eventually found the paperwork for the guys who installed the boiler. I called them and relayed the situation. They were a fully compliant RGI company who completely refuted the ridiculous claims from the Bord Gais salesman / 'tradesman'. They said to me the boiler was 7 yrs old but a top of the rang model, good for up to 15 years. If Bord Gais were the only Gas boiler service left in Ireland, I'd take out a 20k loan and get a heat pump. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They are absolutely cowboys. And the lad they sent to me was an arrogant, masogonistic ar$3hole. He was clearly dragged up and never learned basic manners. And yes, I wasted a whole days annual leave for this experience.

I’ve had nothing but the best trouble-free experience with Bórd Gais.

Extremely disappointed with the service from Bord Gais. Had a boiler service booked for today which was a no-show, no contact from anyone. Customer service were extremely unhelpful, unable to provide me with appropriate assistance as the boiler servicing seems to be outsourced. Would not recommend.

Very efficient service, great verbal report on the boiler status. Engineer was very pleasant and professional.

A customer with board gais for 2 years, I closed my gas account bcoz at the start of summer, I'm on disability payment and I didn't want to get into too much debt, straight away they threatened me with court for a €165.00 debt which Id already arranged to pay, sadly not quick enough for the agent who took my call, thanks to bad management they've lost my electricity account now, I'm disgusted with the customer service apart from one gentleman who did every he could to apologise for the calls and emails, promised it wouldn't happen again, it did, the calls and threatening e-mails continued, to make a long story short, I'm now a customer with Energia, the comparison, Energia one month's electric €99.00 Board gais for the previous month's electric €138.55!!!! Changing to Energia saved me €40 this bill for just one month, that's €480 over the year, , you can make huge savings by changing your service provider, won't do any harm to make some enquiries, You won't look back, I promise 👍

Great company been with them for years and don't intend to change

2 months of trying to speak with someone in complaints, Jonathan is the complaints manager, supposed to call me never bothered, 7 phone calls later and there still trying to take a €517.40 direct debit a month out of my bank that I didn't authorise, It's seems Jonathan is harder to track down than 007, disgusting treatment by this company. "Do not get your boiler serviced by them the last time they serviced mine it ended up costing me over 1,000 for there mistake there reply, we had some bad technician's but there gone now"
