When we decided to get the solar panels we checked online different companies and we decided to contact PV Generation and we have to say it that it was the best decision ever. They are all so professional from start to finish-the surveyors ,the girls in the office and the staff installing the panels. We want to thank to all staff from PV Generation for all the support and guidance during the process to get the grant and on the day of the installation they carried out the works so tidy and they left the place tidy and clean afterwards.

We installed solar panels in May 2023, which were supplied by PV Generation. The initial consultation was with Mark, who explained professionally in detail the various options available to us. We liked the fact it was not a hard sell, and we had time to think it over, with Mark always available to respond to any further questions we had. Following the purchase and survey we were contacted by the design team, who supplied a detailed cad drawing of the proposed installation. Again Kevin was very helpful in the follow up calls. On the installation date, Thomas and the PV team installed the system in 6 hours. To date we have had no issues with the system, and Nathalie and the team in Monaghan continue to provide support and updates, as they did during the pre installation phase. The system itself is performing very well, with significant savings in electricity consumption. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending PV Generation.

I got numerous quotes for a PV installation and felt that PV gen were the company that made the best effort to explain the installation in person and had a great break down of the prices for different size systems. They also sent an initial surveyor to give me a feel for what was possible followed by another surveyor to make sure the electrical status of the house was up to standard before installation. The office staff were great to deal with and set out a timeline which was exactly when the install occurred. The installation was immaculate and I am now enjoying the benefits of a PV installation. I have received my first bill where the PV has been active and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I generated and exported in the winter months. Looking forward to seeing its full potential in the new year!! Great company and definitely worthwhile talking to them if you’re planning a PV installation.

Got a nice system from them, but after install 2 attempts to contact them over App issues went unanswered. All I got was the ‘How did we do survey. So here’s how ye did…..

The admin team are excellent and really helpful in processing forms, tracking what needs to be done and setting up installation. The installation team arrived on time, worked as a well oiled machine, did not intrude into our life and were all extremely polite and helpful. There were a few offcuts of wires and empty boxes left in the attic; other than that they were very tidy. The salesman was the best of those who I spoke with and answered or passed on questions very quickly. I asked a lot of questions!! He was at least a little bit balanced in saying that solar is not a solution for everyone. Other salesman were very hard sell. What I can't know... and what is vital, is how well the solar set up performs over 10-20 years and how good PV are in responding to any faults and problems. I asked a lot of questions about the contract terms; recommend everyone reads them The reason the long term is so important, and a watch point I would tell anyone - based on my own research and your own calculations. The payback on Solar is highly sensitive to the electricity price; both what you pay and what you get paid for excess back to the grid. Using the high prices in mid 2023 that they had in their financial illustration a payback of 5 years may have been possible. Using a more realistic long term price and usage pattern the payback looks 7-10 years. Remember... the customer takes all the risk on this!

I had an issue with the app since I changed my router. PVGEN we’re on it immediately. Jair helped me through the process with patience, politeness and clarity. Alls well again. Thank you Jair. 😀

Taking the leap to solar is somewhat daunting to say the least. Sure we all want to do it because it’s the right thing but then we way up the cost vs the outlay and that leaves us wondering .. is it really worth it. When eventually I did build up the courage to make the decision to go for it, have to say, PV Generation made the whole process a lot easier to deal with. From the very start, the assessment & quotation to the installation, what a great company to have chosen. Was actually looking forward to yesterday when the guys came to do the install and what a great bunch of lads. It was a bitterly cold Monday morning and from the very start, these guys were brilliant. You really get a sense that the team really enjoy what they are doing and they have a passion for what they are installing. I was working away upstairs during the day and was simply entertained by the manner at which they went about the installation, with great humor and focus. Attention to detail was excellent and even when finished, cleaned up as if you never knew they were there. The team even provided an explanation of the many questions I had once the installation was complete. Would also like to thank the office team .. absolutely brilliant to work with and get answers to any questions, including managing the whole grant process making it just a signature required. Can’t say enough how impressed I have been with the PV Generation team and can’t recommend them enough. Looking forward now to ensuring the investment delivers the expected outcome for many years to come. Thank you.

Excellent service from start to finish. From the first contact to the finished installation the PV generation team we a pleasure to deal with, there was constant communication with design and installation updates. Installation day went very smoothly and the full team worked seamlessly and professionally. Very happy to recommend PV generation to anyone considering an installation.

I started researching solar panels at the start of the summer 2023 and got quotes from a few different companies. We got varying reports suggesting that our roof would only accommodate between 10 and 12 panels when I thought we could accommodate up to 16. PV Gen sent out Mark McKeever who spent approx 2 hours with us going through the full ins and outs of the system in great detail. He was confident we could get the 16 panels and maybe more but said a site survey by one of the engineers would confirm. Within two weeks a site engineer called and confirmed that we would be able to get 18 panels on the roof. He then sent on a virtual plan of the roof and ran everything by us first to make sure we would be happy with the layout of the panels. Installation was then scheduled and within 2 weeks we had the panels installed and electrician had called to connect all up to inverter. The BER rating was done a short time after this and we were happy to see our rating improve. The whole process was seamless and Natasha Mulhall from the PV Gen office was in regular contact to give us updates on each step of the process. Our esb bill for August 2023 was approx €460 and this coincided with our installation. So the next bimonthly bill would give us a good understanding of where we'd be at with the panels. Our next esb bill in October 2023 was for €70.00. A very good reduction considering that it was still into Autumn when our panels were installed and the days were shorter than they would be in high summer. I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do next year with the panels. All in all I'm very happy with our experience so far with PV Generation and I would be very happy to recommend them.

Everything went without a hitch, from start to finish all the staff were friendly and helpful, I couldn't recommend PV generation higher

When I started researching solar panels I found myself in the middle of a minefield Until my Son in law got some installed he had done all the hard work researching lots of different companies some of them much cheaper than PV Generation but the quality of the system was not good You only get what you pay for So my first phone call was to Robert Walsh +353 86 387 4415 Robert explained everything to me with no pressure at all he just made sure that I knew exactly what I was getting and what the cost would be Bob was there for me day and night to answer any questions I had and right throughout the process So Noel came to do the survey with his drone then explained where the panels would be best placed Then the day of fitting them came Wow the vans with the crews came The Electrician Dean and his mate Karol explained everything that they needed to do and carried out everything without any mess the wore shoe protectors at all times Dean went above the call of duty to explain everything to me The roofers Killian, Chris & Ryan were unbelievable they were very well organised and carried out the work with no mess or fuss Thank you one and all for a wonderful job Of course I have to thank the very lovely and helpful Natasha who helped me through the paperwork and applied for the Grant and anything else that needed doing I would highly recommend this company Please remember to tell them that I recommended them Do not hesitate to contact them as many other companies are cheaper but PV Generation use top quality components so once again thanks to all at PV Generation Kind regards Simon Geoghegan
