I highly recommend PV Generation to anyone considering having solar panels installed. From the initial call from the sales rep to the fitters and electricians, all delivered the service on time as promised. All friendly and professional. Installation was quick with no disruption to my day's routine. It's great to have the app on the phone and see the power that's being generated. It makes me conscious of the good times to use electricity and when to watch my usage.

We chose this company as it is nearby and we had read many positive reviews.The installation went very well and the staff were very efficient . However, there were many hiccups along the way. There were added costs to our orginal quote ,a remedial oversight.We had a very long wait for instillation which we got an apology for. Support post instillation is poor. Explanation how the product works and troubleshooting is very poor. Overall, this company makes a lot of assumptions about customer knowledge and communication is substandard. I would not recommend this company and regret getting solar panels as a result of my experience. I get no pleasure in giving any company 2*. But having read the reviews at the lower end of the list , after sales and communication seem to be the reoccurring themes. I would like to add to my original review. I just cleaned my guttering and found loads of nails and other debris etc from the instillation. Very sloppy.

Very happy with our PV Generation installation. The the very first interaction with their team, the whole process has been very straightforward. The installation was neat and robust. We got 12 panels installed march 30th 2023, and to date (May 30th 2023) the system has produced over 25% of our electricity needs.

We were very happy with the install, the team did a very neat job, there was one minor issue which PV gen followed up and corrected for us. The customer service was good any email or phonecall was answered. We are very happy with our system and has been working trouble free.

We sent an equity email to PV Gen when we moved into our new home and one of the agents contacted us a couple days later to arrange a visit. Ronan posed round to give us a quotation for panels along with the inverter only, Ronan was very polite and there was no hard sell, just the simple facts, unlike other companies we had round. Once we paid the deposit their surveyour visited and inspected our home, although some issues were raised due to the age and materials within our property PV Gen worked with us and we received our installation date. The solar panel installation crew, who were a day ahead of time in fact, were amazing, very respectful. The electrical installation team, Ger & Ryan, were fantastic, we had electrical distribution board issues which they fixed, they went out of their way to get the system up and running in a day! We had a small technical issue which was resolved with a simple software update. The system has been running well for a week now and the hot water is great, you also do get a kick from watching the system supply the grid! We would highly recommend PV Gen.

I am extremely pleased with PV generation from Owen their sales man and the team who installed the PV system. They arrived at my home on time at 7.45am and were completely finished at 3pm on the same date. They were extremely neat and tidy. Obviously all were very good tradesmen. All very helpful and enthusiastic about their work. I have had no issues with the system and genuinely would recommend PV generation to anyone. Since my install electricity has cost me 6 euros, basically 1euro per day. Today is cloudy and the system has produced all my electricity. I have ten panels a battery for storage and an inverter. All very neatly installed.

My Solar Panels were fitted yesterday by a very professional group of Installers and Electricians. They all provided quality service. Arrived early in the morning and got finished late afternoon. We had a yield today of 13.09 kWh. Our Sales Consultant was Eoin Teehan and he explained the whole process in a simple way which made it so much easier to understand. Thanks Eoin. We are very pleased with the recent installation of solar panels by PVGen. Very efficient and punctual and a very neat and tidy installation. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending them - their work is excellent.

We had a great experience with PV Generation. Everyone in PV, from the initial consultation to the office Staff and the fitters were really great and easy to deal with. They took time to explain in clear terms the process and what we should expect and they kept us informed throughout the process. They installation was a breeze, the fitters and electricians installed the panels and batteries without fuss, cleaned up after themselves and showed us how to work the system. My only regret is that I didn’t install solar panels years ago.

7 month turnaround time on the installation. First contact and quote was later thrown out and had to start again. Customer engagement non-existent. Cannot in any way recommend PV Gen, except for the fact that the installation works. Technical queries were never answered, SEAI queries never answered. This has been an expensive uphill battle, so if you have the time and patience for that, carry on, or else just find another installer.

Very professional and well managed company. I got solar panels installed in my own home, and there was no issues whatsoever with the installation. The staff are very friendly and professional. They did a very neat job on my roof and I'm happy with the overall outcome. I later got them to do an install in my parents home and also my workplace. I would highly recommend PV Generation

Pros: 12 Panels purchased for the home with a 5kw battery installed and all working a treat. Yes it may be more expensive than other companies, but you can see the quality which comes with a very long guarantee. I'm very pleased so far, and will be even more so when Electric companies have to pay for the surplus produced that is sent back to the grid. The installation team were great on the day and a big shout out to Christina in the office who was extremely helpful and insightful when faced with my questions, Cons: Customer Experience, Communication a little poor after deposit was paid in April, it was a little tricky getting confirmation on the installation date, was told 3 months and I can understand that during Summer would be peak time for installation but as a customer you want to be kept in the loop and not having to contact you back directly for an update.

I got 4.15kw install, no battery. Hit exactly 1 year since install this evening. 4.41MWh generated, 1.02MWh exported. Based on €7.2k install I make it a 5.3 year payback which I can't complain about. (South facing, East Cork install). Communication and install was clean and professional.

We had been thinking about getting solar panels for some time but thought they would be too expensive!! That’s until we contacted PV Generation to get a survey. The whole process was efficient and smooth. We got six panels installed on a wet and windy day in December. The installation team did a lovely clean job. And then they sorted out our grant application, which was delayed with COVID, without any worries from us. It’s been great for us because my usage has lowered but more importantly it heats our water most days which is an added bonus. Would put more panels up if I had room!! Would highly recommend getting PV Generation for your solar panels. The whole team from sales through to grant application were friendly, fast, and easy to deal with the whole way through.

From my first meeting with Ronan to consult with Joe for roof inspection through. the installation of the units indoors, the entire experience with PV Generation was very positive. Christine was always available to help us coordinate stages, times, types of installation needs. The solar panel installers and the crew who came to put wifi units were top class, professional and very helpful. The system is up and running and provides pretty consistent hot water and electricity. We are delighted with our decision to install Solar and our choice of PV Generation for the job. Recommend them to other people 100%.

PV Generation were a fantastic company to deal with. The team that fitted the panels to our roof optimized the orientation of the panels so they would look more aesthetically pleasing.. I was so impressed with this as they just didn't follow the original design they problem solved to make it better when onsite. The electricians who completed the setup again took pride in their work and wanted to ensure a tidy finish regarding wiring etc. I would highly recommend PV Generation as a company.

PV Gen were initially good to deal with. In the end they didn't provide what was agreed upon. The installation itself was okay (done in a day) except for the mess left around (plenty of nails left in my driveway where I park my car and back patio where people and pets walk) and the fact that my Sky dish was knocked out of alignment which I had to schedule and pay for an engineer to fix. The after sales assistance left a lot to be desired. You'll end up having to chase things down and do some of the work yourself. All in all I'm not too sure I'd go with PV Gen again. Edit: I've since noticed more debris and scrap that the installers left on a flat roof section of my house.

Installation went well, no issues with the supply team. The platform seemed to work as expected, however less than 3 weeks later the system is completely unusable. Raised support ticket over a week ago, they were unable to resolve the problem over the phone and promised an engineer call out. Several calls later and I have not received any update. I will see if I can get a response from their social media page. After that, I will have to seek refund. UPDATE - breaker replaced and service has been restored. The call out staff were very professional and offered an explanation for the issue. I am still disappointed by the lack of communication after logging the fault. I have updated the review accordingly.

We had PVC installed 3 years ago. The installation was handled very efficiently and professionally, We were informed at every stage of the process. We are very happy with this product, especially during the summer months, when we have plenty of hot water once the energy level of electricity has been reached. We would happily recommend this company to anyone looking to a new sustainable source of energy.

PVGen have been most efficient, there was always a phone call prior to the arrival of one of the members of staff, who were always kind , understanding and very informative of the next procedure. It was also wonderful that the company applied for any grants available, I didn't have to do anything, accept be guided!! Thank you to all the staff. I have and will in the future be recommending them for their efficiency! Lal Thompson
