Went to buy 40" TV. Asked assistant if they had any. I was told no they had none. On the way out would you believe a stack of JVC 40" TVs at 239 euro each. I went home n did some research a n decided to go down to buy one only to discover they were now 260euro. I brought this up with a couple of assistants only to be told it was a different model. (It wasn't) same stack of TVs same model number. Different price. I was told I could buy the 239euro model online. BUT ITS THE SAME FRIGGIN TV, WHATS THE POINT. Currys employees are hapless n without the knowledge to actually sell anything. This is Currys fault of course cos if you pay peanuts you get ?so Currys employees I am not stupid and certainly not stupid enough to shop in your store again. Store, mahon point, cork
They have a lot and if you need electronics it would be your first stop but they have a lot of fake displays especially laptops where out of 5 laptops I asked about that were displayed one was in stock, even the person who was supposed to me helping me when I asked to be shown laptops he showed me one, I had to keep asking what other options do you have and his only response was everything out of stock, wasn't offered or told when one would be back in stock of if I could order, they said it was because of back to college but collegw started a month ago, and if they knew about that why not have more in stock, wasted my time here so I quickly took a photo of the laptop I wanted and went off to buy it somewhere else,.
Good stock but good luck getting the assistance of the staff. Check argos prices if it's some generic item you're getting as more than likely it's cheaper and next door 😂 I also witnessed one at the till drop a hdd from 4ft onto a hard floor and carry on as if nothing happened, when I questioned him infront of the customer he had no interest in replacing it with one that wasn't dropped.. bad form
Very poor costumer service. I walked into the store and I was looking for a new washing machine. The lady with the red colored hair was very RUDE. She rolled her eyes at us , she did not try to help us out. We also asked if the specific Phillips iron was in stock , she walked away leaving us standing there confused for 15 minutes. I asked another staff member to help us out and then she immediately came back “trying to help us out” even though the other staff members has helped us find the product in seconds!!! I was not happy with the lady’s attitude.
I have received the worst customer experience from Manager RAJU. I felt he was ignorant and disrespectful. I am a happy customer with Curry's for a long but he was the only bad experience, sadly he was the manager. He should be the ideal for others. After I went to his counter, he never greet or ask how can he help me. I have asked "How are you?", he said OK! While he was handing over the product and the receipts, he had a friend he was talking to, he didn't even look at me, thanked me. I have said thank you and he never replied. Looks like, they don't look at the reviews. Well, maybe they do but just don't care. I am not surprised though since I have seen the worst manager.
Currys have one of the worst customer services experiences I have ever witnessed. I bought a kettle online that was faulty. I sent an email; nothing, sent several more emails nothing. So I went into the store, they didn't have the replacement in stock, took back the faulty kettle but wouldn't provide me with anything in the mean time. Management are useless. I also asked why they can't get Google home devices in, just a shrug of the shoulders and said "I don't know", with more of an "I don't care" attitude. Every other Currys in Ireland seems to stock them. I hate going to this store but since I have a wedding voucher (that you can't use online of course) I have to into this poorly ran place.
Bought thermal paste, it took 20 mins to get attention of staff member, staff told me despite 'in stock' on website, it wont be in display area, it was out the back. 2 weeks later I returned to buy more. New staff wasn't familiar with what I was asking for and dismissed the idea that it was out the back. She checked the display areas and asked other staff. I showed website saying 'in stock' and saying it was out the back 2 weeks earlier. She looked for 5 mins and said even though it says in stock, she now said the thermal paste was missing. Sent me home. I come to find out a few days after I successfully got the product originally, a relative pre-ordered the same online, queued in cold for some time, only to be told they didn't have it and to go home by a similary confused staff member. Staff dont know about certain products, will dismiss you and the time and effort you make travelling in, so they don't have to investigate for 5 minutes, while some staff in the know, will get your preorder in minutes. They wont update website to inform people not to travel in if they don't have it. Won't be coming here again
If I'm honest would only use this place if I was in need of something small and needed it fast. Find their stock over priced for example I was looking for a samsung evo 970 m.2. I was unable to find one but the issue was they did have an older version the 860 that had a price tag slightly more that the 970 I found online. The staff is hit and miss, really depends how you speak to. Some really know the products they are selling, other sound like they just looked over the highlight specs of the box it arrived in. One good thing is, I'm usually in and out of there pretty fast.
No faults with the product I bought my review is regarding the staff, firstly I had to wait an hour just to buy a laptop ! No kidding 1 full hour. I asked one guy for assistance and he advised no problem, he then proceeded to walk past me twice and decided to move section and serve another customer (who litteraly entered the store) I then proced to ask a manager can I purchase a laptop, he advises that he will have someone with me any moment while he just stood at the door in his own world ! Finaly I was served and advised that they need to get the laptop from their warehouse (understandably) then they assumed I left the store, even tho i was standing in the same place i was advised to wait. 20 minutes later and again I had to speak to the manager who advised the they assumed that I had left the store. Long story short I got my laptop and had the worst customer service experience I have ever had, scratch that beacuse there was 0 customer services, and to add to all of this the original sales agent, ( who was not wearing a name tag ) tall lad with curly hair and a pig of an attitude who was simply stroling arround the store at a sales pace smugly asked me did I get sorted 1 hour after I asked him for help while I was walking out the door with my laptop under my arm !! I will never visit this store again and I hope if you are reading this that you avoid the store completely.
Overpriced in most areas compared to other well known online and local retailers. Selection is hit and miss with some items being latest, mixed among stock which should have been retired several months ago. That being said, the store itself is physically nice, spacious and well lit.
Shocking staff attitude, rude and unprofessional. Won’t be back. Send those Indian lads to Harvey Norman for training how to deal with customers…
Don't engage with these people, they will sell you garbage that they have in store in Ireland for the last 6 months in storage but if it goes wrong as it did for me, you are dealing with a supremely bad customer service due to the brexit. Everytime I ask them to replace the item or exchange it, they claim they are a British Company and will put it "Under Review". I will not be engaging with them again permanently. Rubbish
For TVs Curry's is one of the best options for a good deal. Good selection of stock, however the good brands can be over priced. For other electrical things stock can be hit or miss. Worth a look but shop around to make sure you are getting the best price.
Absolute shambles of a store. Never in my life have I encountered such incompetence from staff. The most difficult part in shopping here is actually getting someone to serve you. Staff sit around idle and chatting and act like they're doing you a favour by serving you. Once you've miraculously managed to get service the staff haven't the slightest clue about any of the products. Totally useless and rude. Avoid at all costs..
Pity the staff were not looking after customers rather than being on their phones. Poor service.
Worst shop ever, never deal with them. 31/12/2019 I reserved on line air fryer for collection in shop. I got my reservation number, so I drive 30 km to shop to collect my goods, and I found they sold earlier my reserved stuff ( that I was told by very grumpy salesman). Nobody wants to take responsibility for they mistake. Absolutely wasting time. Not recommend.
Only ok….a little bit more expensive than Harvey Norman…..good deals on line,which were delivered to the store free of charge……

Nice enough staff for the most part (some haven't a clue about anything in their shop though), I guess this is less the shop's fault but the quality of products there kinda disappointing. Bought a nice looking corsair headset there less than a year ago, sad to say it's now broken. If this store is going to sell garbage at least it shouldn't price it so high. Other stuff I bought there broke even earlier, and no I'm not the least abusive to these products and take good care. I wouldn't get my hopes up about the product being more fair priced, so I'd reccomend just shopping online instead. Also is it only me who's annoyed by how loud the music is? I get shops want their 'ambience', but talking to staff is made a lot more difficult than it should be with Shakira blowing out my eardrums.
After a wait.. was looked after by a really nice man with an English accent at costumer service. He was most helpful. Then he referred me to another young man in the computer section who was most helpful and pleasant. It the first time I have had good service. It was a nice change. Thank you to those two men.
