Terrible service. Everytime I call customer service I am being transfer from one person to another and it seems they don't have any idea of what they are doing. I've been trying to setup a direct debit account for two weeks now and after many calls, this has not been solved to this day. I've literally got of the phone, after 18 minutes hold, and the lady that I was dealing with told me to call later because the person that should be able to help me is not picking up the phone... it just doesn't make any sense why the service is so bad for such a big company, the part that is more frustrating is that everytime you are speaking with a different person and you have to explain the issue you are experiencing over and over again. Such a waste of everyone's time. Very disappointing!
Horrible company to deal with my top up card isn’t working and the useless customer service agent named Margret told me she didn’t know what to tell me and after I told her my credit was running low and I wouldn’t be able to top up without the card she proceeded to hang the phone up on me I’m a customer of this company for over 20 years but that’ll change today
The worst company I've ever had the experience of deal with . Over charged by €70 on first bill and apparently its not there problem , been told so many lies by service and told to go where I like with this issue. So unprofessional . Avoid or if all ready with them check your bills !
This guys just don't let you close the account! The worst customer support ever. Their agents do not understand their job. On request to close the account they are giving excuses to keep you going. 20 replies and each time is different person who just reply with generic answer, they do not bother even read question or conversation. I have been using them 5 years, but now it's time to say good bye. At least there is 5 or more competitors to choose from!
An hour service level only to get incompetent customer service adviser to drop the call while transferring. EI needs to get their customer service under control.
Called to close the account multiple times I was told the balance was paid but kept receiving emails everytime I called they said it was paid in full Now Im being hunted down by a debt collection agency. I'll be taking legal action
After almost 2 hours I waited to get through and when I eventually did it, they hung up!!! The worst service imaginable. Keeping people on the phone for so long when the line is toll - ridiculous!!!! I do not think they read comments either, because no conclusions have been drawn. It only gets worse. AVOID LIKE FIRE !!!!
Absolutely disaster.. they shouldn’t receive even 1 star… my boyfriend is calling them from today’s morning. First time he was waiting 2,5 hour and second time 45 minutes. Both time they hung up. Unacceptable!!!!!
Electric Ireland is horrible. They charge me although I am not in the appartment and everything is switched off. They are taking around 1€ per day while I was out of my appartment. Around 1 h on phone with two customers service agents, no help and both finished the call without responding to my query.
simply,because you have terrible staff, they don’t know how to work at all, I talked to you twice for two hours, asked me to change my name to my account, as a result they said in 5 days an invoice would come through the mail to pay for services in my name, and came to the old, you are hopeless
Shambles of a sales department. Called so many times just to sign up. Promised call back after call back. No returns after a week. After i ended up speaking to them they didnt have a clue what was happening. I went to Airtricity...
Way too expensive. Our bills are double what they were with bord gais, and their customer service is also appalling.
I've been a customer for a few years now and haven't had too many complaints. However, with my husband working out in Dubai the discount Electric Ireland offer through their Rewards programme for flights with Emirates has been brilliant!
There isn't a word allowed on the net to describe this lot. The lowest you can come across. And the cowards who sign their name to letters but refuse to speak to customers on the phone... laughable! Stay clear of this crowd. Vultures
Meter reader calls & leaves card when no one at home. Card says "you can submit your reading by" 4 methods. I try to submit reading and it is never accepted, message shows "sorry we can't take your reading right now". This has never happened with any other supplier.
I had to ring the company why do we get electric bills only. She told me the gas bill went to different address since july. Now its just christmas and the lady told i have to pay more than 400 euro just for gas in 3-5 days. This made me very upset. Even wasnt my fault and they just collect the unpaid fees without call or something. I use the electric on the same address where the gas has been used. How did they change the address?
Terrible service. Wanted to put in a payg meter. Took half day from work for the appointment but installer never showed when I rang his number he informed me he was on the north side and was not doing Southside. Over one month nothing. Rang this morning and was told it was rescheduled. Would be nice if I was informed. Another half day off work unpaid. Let's hope they show up this time !!!
Am not happy with Electric Ireland they rip people’s money. Guys be aware of your meter readings. When they estimate bills they over charge you. Am single living alone and they have been over charging me whenever they estimates but when my meter is read l pay less. I would like to advise you to check your meter periodically and submit it. Don’t rely on those estimation they do , they are scamming people with that.
Electric Ireland withdrawn money from my account and didn't give me the electricity recharge code. For several months I cannot get my money back. Awful customer service.
Horrible, four hours waiting for only one code and when I get answer they only say hello and finish the call. 45 minutes is the waiting list for only one consult and in email 8 days.
