I moved to a another house in the end of July, and still no being able to switch my account. They closed the older one, but can't open the new one. I tried call them, email them and nothing happened. I received a letter that is settled up, but I can't see the new account in my login. I am truly mad because of thus. They think we have time to lose calling them, email them every single day. I'm thinking of moving to another company, this one can't do simple things...
Worst customer service ever. Every minute on phone is over 2.50 euro, and when you try to do something after 10 minutes it disconnetcs you automaticly (tried few different phones). When you ask for same person they say it's impossible, they don't want to help you and they loose your time again. One guy hang up the phone when i asked to speak to someone else (as he didn't want to help me) i spent 2 hours on the phone and got nowhere. And I just got 200euro bill for phone just for trying to talk to them. I will never be with this company again. The worst customer service experience I got in my life.
Shockingly poor customer service. Repeated calls to resolve a billing issue. You get passed around on the phone. Tried the webchat. Spent over an hour chatting with an agent who had no clue what she was talking about, and then got told that because the chat had been over an hour I needed to call their customer service and the webchat was cancelled by the agent. Her name is Anne Marie, don't waste your time on a webchat with her!
Moved in and switched the account in to my name and about 5 times they sent me out cards that didnt work. Then gave me a bill I didnt owe and took 25% of every top up I made I rang up to fix it but they kept trying to put me off claiming it wouLd be fixed but never was i finally just changed to a new Electric company.STAY AWAY THIS IS A RIP OFF COMPANY WITH VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
Been tryin to register on your website for days and days. Every time I ring customer Support tells me that one of my details was mistyped!! First name taken wrong (Diananana FFS!), last name taken wrong, email address taken wrong, date of birth taken wrong and even the damn phone number was wrong! Despite I spelled each of them few times!! Still unable to register as the date of birth was not update still! So sick of talking to customer support service and being told my details are wrong. If your customer support is unable to take the details over the phone, just let people email them, so your staff can copy paste this data, instead of torturing people!
Worst company out there. The customer service is absolutely shocking. They completely ignore everything you say. I have had a horrible time with these for months now. Never seen anything like it. Stay away from electric ireland. Save yourself the constant headache.
A nightmare to deal with at least one hour or more when calling in by phone A week later I’m Still on hold with no information sent that the account is in my name or a card to top up I’m on disability and living in supported living I’m not on Facebook or instagram on hold now over 30 mins
I have got 1024e bill for 3 people leaving in a 60m2 apartment from november 2022 to january 2023! HOW?! 600m3 gas used, how?! Normal house use average 2000-2500m3 gas per annum! DISGRACE! Service does not exist, they are not helping. AVOID THIS THIEVES!
For your own good do not go with this company for your heating or electric. Setup an account with them the day we got our new house. Got Climote setup and the guy who set it up said to ring Electric Ireland to get immersion taken off our bill because he couldn't connect Climote to it. That was fine, we rang electric Ireland and were told we didn't exist and didn't have an account...So we had to setup an account again. Few weeks later and our heating gets disconnected. We've 2 young girls so it's hard enough as it is without your house being freezing cold. Rang electric Ireland and was told we had been disconnected because we didn't setup an account on time. They were appalling to deal with - we had to pay to get reconnected - no warning or anything just someone came out to our house and disconnected us. Bare in mind that our heating was disconnected over a month after we initially setup the account and we were then told that even if they set the account up on that date there wouldn't have been enough time and that we would have been disconnected anyway. Dreadful company and an absolute disgrace for treating people like this
I too would rate you as a Zero- if it was possible !!! Paid in advance and waited 5 weeks for an appointment with regards to a Nest Smart Heating Control. Well there was nothing SMART in the way you guys do business !! So I was booked in for next Monday 19 Feb, only to receive a call from your team stating they were cancelling my install and that March 21 was the earliest slot available. No concern that we made arrangements to be home and now I’m been told this is the only available date !!! So...I query the notice of 2 working days given and I get huffing & puffing down the phone.. REALLY !!!!!!!!! SORRY IF I ANNOYED YOU WITH MY QUESTIONS, BUT YOU HAD NO INTEREST IN MY SITUATION OR THAT OF MY FAMILIES SO MUCH SO I GOT “WELL YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PERSON, WE’VE RAN OUT OF STOCK !!” I then reply that you just didn’t just run out of stock to which he replies “we knew last week”... and this makes matters only worse !!!! Then it gets worse...I’m told “We will refund you the money within 7-10 days”.. You are joking !!!! Complete bunch of fools & timewasters !!
Electric Ireland is Ireland's leading energy supplier that cannot change a name on the bill in over 2 months. What a joke. No one at Customer care, cares
Their phone customer service is awful. The customer rep had the attitude of aversion and least helpful. I was given an email address to follow up and got no response after 10 days. However, I gave 3 starts to their Facebook team who dealt with my queries promptly. Recommend everyone to go through their FB/Twitter channel instead of phone service.
Absolute disgrace company ran by thiefs overcharging me and my partner told by them to stop a direct debit and now we being charged 798 euro absolutely disgraceful we now have the pay as you go meter and the app states we still owe that money also slapping on security deposit after another even though before this we where direct debit. This week been on the phone to them every single day with problems keep getting a different person keep getting different answers. This will not be taken lying down I will be taking further action. Steer clear from this company and I shall be sharing this on social media also.
Absolute scam!!! I got bill for 566eu and was in fact overpaying this whole time. I called them and they explained me that my bills was estimated all the time so after three times of estimated bills they sent someone to the property to check the actual reading. I explained that readings are not correct, and correct reading is way smaller than that. Couldn't get explanation where did this sum came from. And this is not a first time. Will cancel my contract immediately. AVOID at any cost!!!!!!!!!!!!
The customer service is extremely poor, dont even bother ringing them you wont get anywhere. Lady we spoke to on the phone didnt have a clue what she was talking about. Just kept putting us on hold for 10 mins at a time. Accounts were supposed to be transfered from one name to another - the paperwork was filled out by us and sent to them and then electric did absolutely nothing and the account never got transferred. Electric ireland are a load of Liars and incompetent people . Will be switching to a different company.
I write this review in shock -I have been a loyal electric Ireland customer all my adult life both domestically and commercially. I have paid all my bills without fail by direct debit without ever missing a payment. I have over the past 5 years traded under my own name in my business premises and now wish to change over to my newly registered limited company name. Incredibly Electric Ireland coldly tell me they need a €600 deposit and direct debit payments-no exceptions. So much for credibility etc. I'm off to check out the opposition. Wake up and smell the roses. Loyalty used to mean something once.
3rd time it happened, On a call for 17, 32 and 13 mins and call gets disconnected. The team has no audacity to call back as they already have your details. Unbelievable customer service.
This company is an unmitigated disaster. I have this morning received my third correspondence from them requesting I set up a direct debit account with them. My name is not on this correspondence, but my address is. I have tried to contact them concerning this, eventually writing to them, waste of time on my part. This is causing extreme distress to my wife who among other things suffers with M.S. , do they care, don't think so. So if Electric Ireland have a Customer Service Department I think they need to start doing what they are paid for.
signed up with them a month ago ( got confirmation email saying the switch is now in motion ). After a month i was told i am still with my old supplier but i can register over the phone . AS the contract is up i will need to pay a month of gas and electricity at 30% higher rate...Apologies i got overt the phone will not put the extra money i will need to pay because of this..
The worst customers service ever. They want me to pay all the fees for unpaid direct debit where it was their fault to not change direct debit details. I informed them about new details more then 2 weeks before paying a bill and they just changed for electricity but not for gas. Total disaster. Not recommend
