Quick, efficient and friendly staff

Great service, efficient installation and system operations were explained very well.

The installation was efficient and friendly and complete within eight weeks from start to finish. The App gives a great picture of what solar energy is produced and where that energy goes, eg water heater, house use and flow from and to the grid. Do give an itemised invoice!

Very good service but surveyor or engineer who surveyed our house was poor and it lead to a two day installation not one.

The sales meeting, site survey, install and communications were professional and details were explained very well. The solar PV system appears to be working well with a smart phone app to monitor the electricity output. We would recommend Activ8 without hesitation.

Everything was very clear and precise. Response to questions and issues immediate. Clean, fast, businesslike and respectful installation team. I couldn’t say enough positive things about the installation team.

Great job. Very neat. Good bunch of lads. Activ8 made it so easy managed the grant and N6 form. Nothing worse than trying to manage that paperwork by yourself.

I couldn't say too much good things about my experience from start to finish. Everything was explained right from the start, We never even had to fill out grant forms, it was all done for us. Then the lads arrived on time, explained what was the plan and just got stuck in, I offered tea a few times, but they didn't stop, all really nice guys. If I had have known how easy it was I would have done it years ago. I have the app on my phone now and I'm so happy 😊 Thanks for the great experience, we are very happy customers. We would give 10🌟

Excellent service. The installers were polite, efficient, tidy and very friendly. They answered all our questions and explained everything. The office staff were very nice and easy to deal with. Most happy with my whole experience. Full marks and recommended to everyone.

My dealings with Activ8 were extremely professional, precise and to the point. I enquired about solar and they arranged a call out. The rep explained what we needed based on our usage for the previous year. We agreed to to ahead with the install. Install was completed at the start of April. Clean, professional and polite workers. 2 months in. any follow up i've had with querys have been answered promptly. A great company from my dealings. My experience was extremely positive. Beware advice on social media from ultracrepidarians, leave it to the experts.

The installation crew were most efficient, hardworking and very tidy. They were also pleasant and courteous and explained everything in detail and were not afraid to answer all the questions I had. The installation was done very neat and tidy. Almost immediately, especially due to the great weather we are having, I have noticed the benefits which were fat better than I had anticipated.

Well… I put 1 star because less is not possible. Before choosing this company I looked around and contact other companies and get quotations, this quotation was the expensive one but I thought that if you want the quality you should pay more: I WAS EXTREMELY WRONG. Since the first day, last October, I start to get “Alarm notifications“ from the inverter every 5 minutes so I needed to turn off the notification center. They said they needed to replace the inverter so I got a new inverter after a week and guess what... no changes. At this point they said: "probably is the firmware on the battery" so after a while the same technician come back to update the firmware on battery and "adjusted the setting on the inverter because not correct" (he replaced the inverter last time!!) and since then I'm loosing 1/2 kWh a day of power because the system is still not setup correctly, so take and give back to the grid when is not necessary. Here an example: there is sun and the panels are producing 4 kWh, the house takes 1kWh, the 3 left should charge the battery but is not, the battery get 2.7/2.8kWh and 0.3/0.2 are coming from the grid (so I'm pay for it). The opposite is when the system give back to the grid when is not needed: no sun and the house asking 2 kWh, the battery is discharging for 2.3/2.5kWh because these 0.3/0.5 kWh are given back to the grid. One of my friends with the same system (Solis Inverter and Pure Drive battery) has no issue, he purchased from an other company (alternativeenergy .ie) and he saved 5k (I could buy an other battery with that money!!), the difference was that he needs to followup the 2400€ for the grant (for me they took off the price) and that my panels are 385W and his are 405W so better. In the last mail I got from this company the contact person wrote: "We have passed this information to Solis multiple times they said all settings are according to the standards and firmware is according to g to the recent upgrade, I think this is the only issue due to charging and discharging." So at the end I need to contact and pay some technician (probably from my friend company Alternative Energy) to get the system setup like it should. I didn't talk about other small things like spent 4 hours and make holes around the house trying to pull the cable from the fuse board downstair to the attic were the Inverter is (the last try was from the attic to down and the spent 5 minutes only!!) or when they need to come back because screw from the panels were jumping off, or the "nice" comments when they had to come back to replace the inverter first and update the firmare later... very professional! Probably they thought that I'm not irish so I would understand what they saying. One important thing: if you decide to go with them and during the purchase or later they are promising something via phone, please ask to send an email otherwise they will tell you that that conversation never happened!! This is what I got, the person to keep me good for all trouble I had, he promise me something but because he left the company this is not valid anymore. Very serious company.

Came in did the job. No hassle all good. Would like a booklet to explain the working of things. I know it's probably on line but at my age a little booklet would be grand. I also gave the name of the person who started me on this journey of solar panels, he never heard from the company.
