I was recommended AK Solar by 2 of my neighbours and I can fully see why. My first encounter was with Clare, who was incredible at answering my questions and ensuring that Eric in Sales would provide me with a proposal and the call out to visit us. Once agreeing to move forward I was given a date of 3 weeks (weather permitting) for installation. Day of installation I was greeted by Alan (owner & roofer), Frankie & Joey the electricians and Vlad another roofer. All the gents on site for the day was complete gentlemen and a pleasure to deal with. So from start to finish I worked with a full team, Clare dealt with all my queries, scheduling, Rose with SEAI grant help, Eric for sales and information on the process, how many panels and batteries and then the installation team. A wonderful experience with the most helpful group of people and now the app is up and running my husband and I get to see the power we are pushing back to the grid rather than paying our energy provider. I had AK Solar install a south facing 4.2kWp system in June 2023, they were really competitive on price and everyone I dealt with from start to finish was great. I didn’t go with a battery at the time as I wanted to figure out our usage etc. I decided to go with a battery and went with AK solar again for the installation. Glad to see that the same work quality and service is still there a year on. Really happy with the work and would happily recommend them. Great price, service and work.

Very impressed by my whole experience with AK Solar. They offered a very competitive quote and they were lightening quick with the installation, providing optimizers where it made sense to. I can testify that all of the work was done in a very tidy and professional manner. My dad is a retired electrician so I always look to him for this kind of work and he was really impressed with the quality of their work and how neat and tidy it was. The system is working perfectly as described and I would have no hesitation in recommending AK Solar to anybody who was looking into a Solar PV installation.

A lovely company to deal with couldn't fault anything, they arrived early on the day of installation and got straight to work. explained everything they were going to do. Very polite and friendly. The company ran through everything from the BER cert to the install, filled out all the forms for me to claim my grant back and to set me up to export back to the grid. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Could not recommend them enough.

From start to finish we found the team at AK solar to helpful, efficient and extremely polite. The advice beforehand was excellent. Their quote was competitive and work came with top quality and workmanship. The turnaround for install and work on the day was quick and efficient. All paperwork for grant was completed quickly. After much deliberation we are delighted to have chosen AK Solar for our Solar system install. The entire team were a pleasure to deal with, from Eric in sales, Clare and Rose in admin and Alan, Frankie and Joey for the excellent and efficient installation. I had modified my original order a couple of times and priced extra panels, batteries and removal of hot water diverter. Eric was very responsive to my requests and I am more than happy that I have the best system for our needs and at one of the most competitive prices around. All documentation was promptly handled by Rose, with grant applied for and NC6 completed for microgeneration credit ahead of install. Installation by Alan Frankie and Joey was very straight forward, they arrived nice and early on the planned date and quickly got to work with minimal disruption. The team were a pleasure to deal with and very informative about the how the system worked answering all my questions and discussing different solutions with me. Two weeks after install we are delighted with the system and how well it is working. The panels looks very smart and tidy on the roof thanks the well placed install by Alan who maximised the available space, there is even room for some more panels if I decide in the future. I would be very happy to recommend AK Solar. The whole process was very seamless from the initial proposal to the installation. I was very impressed with the installation of the kit which took less than six hours. Everyone involved really knew what they were doing. Everything was explained very well by Alan and Frankie and the organisation by Clare and Rose was excellent with the BER arranged immediately and the SEAI grant application made. I literally had to do nothing.

I was recommended AK Solar by colleagues. I still got a couple of other quotes but AK were the one of the most competitive whilst also being very happy to answer all my questions. The communication was excellent and the admin team take care of all the paperwork. The turnaround time was quick and the team on the install day were fantastic. The lads were very tidy and took the time to go through the app set up and make sure we were comfortable with how the system worked. 100% recommend.

A joy to deal with. Really responsive with all admin / grant requirements. Very happy price wise and with the instal. Lovely crew. Any post instal questions have been answered promptly. Would highly recommend.

These guys were fantastic from the beginning. I’m a worrier and had a lot of questions. I believe 8 pm one evening they got back to me when I rang after 6. Always seems to be someone there to help. The electricians (two brothers) I can’t remember there names were bang on. The the guys who put the panels on the roof were sound. I added two more on the day and no issues. I love having panels. Clair and rose are on the ball. Everything done. Just waiting on my grant to come back but that’s a government thing. AK Solar done there bit and cc’d me in everything.

We got three different and very varied quotes and were recommended by a work colleague to go with AK solar. Eric gave good advice on what we required and didnt put us under pressure or hard sell. Extremely professional and efficient process. I dealt with Niall in sales who gave us a great offer and was a pleasure to deal with. It was less than 6 weeks from when we went ahead with the quote to install of the panels. Alan who installed the panels is a professional roofer with over 40 years experience and based on the quality of the install you would be lucky to have someone with such experience working on your roof. The electricians were a pleasure to deal with, they explained the difference aspects of the Eddi and the apps to us. They went out of their way to make the finish extremely tidy. All the admin was completed by Clare and Rose in the office who were very responsive on emails and were on top of everything. Very pleased with my experience with AK solar and would be happy to recommend them

I had work completed by AK solar including solar panels,inverter, hot water Eddi, zappi etc. The company were very affordable compared to others. Their lead in time was short and the employees were friendly. Had a few issues with hardware but they always took a call or replied quickly. They replaced any parts that were faulty which to be fair wasn't their fault but was a manufacturer issue. This was frustrating for us but these things happen with tech.

Seamless process from start to finish from sales to office to roofers and electricians. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with The installation was done in a few hours in a professional manner and everything was left the way they found it clean and tidy. Standard was great THANK YOU AK SOLAR Noel

We got 13 panels, an Eddie water diverter, hybrid inverter and battery installed by AK in October 2022, from requesting a quote to the after sales service they were a pleasure to deal with. Arrived on the day they said they would, great communication the whole way through. They took the time to run the wires in a way that they were hidden from sight, not just the shortest way and set up the apps on our phones and explained fully how to use the system. I'd highly recommend them. It's now Aug '23 and our panels have so far preformed better than expected

We have just had PV panels, inverter, EV Charger and all appurtenances fitted by AK Solar. They have been competitive in price, clear in their intentions and results and in every way accommodating. They came as arranged and did the job efficiently and cleanly; all in less than a day. Their back-up service is friendly and helpful. If you are lucky enough to get them, do.

AK Solar have been have been a pleasure to deal with from my initial inquiry right though to installation and follow up processing the grant claims. Our installation included the removal of old thermal tubes and then the installation of the new PV panels, battery, Eddi and a curbside EV charger. Nothing was a problem for the guys and they were extremely efficient and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Rose and Clare have also been amazing coordinating everything and made grant submission process very easy.

From the first moment, everything seemed professional and efficient - and trustworthy. Communication was quick and clear. Questions were answered. And the installation team were pleasant and keen to help. And there is follow-up arranged for the one outstanding task (adding a socket for use of the battery in the event of a power cut).
