From the initial phone call (after a recommendation from our neighbour who had a excellent experience 18 months ago ) we were informed, educated, advised at each stage of our solar journey by the wonderful team at solar home . Shane initially talked us through the various options, he came across to Drogheda from Galway for a site visit and coffee, and when we agreed on the best option for our circumstances , we set a date and right on schedule Colm and a team of roofers and electricians arrived and when they finished we were left with the a brilliant solar system that has exceeded our expectations.

Solar Home installed my panels recently. It was explained very well by Shane when he called and he recommended the best package for my needs. Colm set up the system and explained how to use and also use the app on my phone. I must say that they were very efficient and tidy. Delivered ahead of schedule and I'm very happy with lots of hot water and suppling excess power back to the grid. Thank you Solar Home Ireland Ltd

After much research on solar installation contractors, Shane Solar customers seemed to have the best customer reviews and comments. They all seemed very pleased. So, I contracted with Shane Solar for my installation. After scheduling my appointment, Shane Solar’s representative came to my house on time, and assessed my ESB Bill and designed the system that I needed on that very same day. The installation was scheduled right away. On the scheduled date and time, the crew came to complete the installation. The foreman was very knowledgeable and professional. The foreman explained everything to me about how the system worked and he was very patient. The system was completely installed and producing electricity that evening. Shane Solar was also very prompt in preparing all of the necessary parper work that I needed to file to receive the grant. Engineers visit was detailed and thorough. Answered all my questions and offered solutions. Nothing was a problem. Quote was competitive and delivery time was very good. Installation was tidy and well organised. The lads doing the job were very easy to work with. Couldn't recommend Solar Homes enough.

Solar Home Ireland recently installed a solar pv system to my home. Very professional from start to finish, from first contact to following through on the grant. Work completed within 2 days and very tidy finish. Highly recommend.

Fantastic service and product. Solar Home installed PV panels, inverter and battery for me. They were such a breath of fresh air to deal with. They did exactly what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. They were so easy to deal with, very straight-forward, open and honest. They told me when they would come and do the installation and the team swept in that morning and had the whole job done in 1 day, no fuss, no messing about. After the installation, they've continued to provide that same level of service, answering any questions quickly and clearly. The system has out-performed my expectations from day 1, it's great! I'm completely happy with my decision to have Solar Home do this project for me, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Solar home review I decided to do this review 1year into ownership of the PV system so I had experienced the Solar PV adventure more fully over time. Colm and Simon installed my system, Which has worked very well for the past year. From when the system went live on Feb 7 2020 everything went smoothly. They arrived on site at the agreed time, with some not so common tools.. "thorough knowledge of the system, excellent communication, and patience to answer all questions on this technology which is fast becoming part of our everyday lives, it didn't end there Colm monitors the system remotely and regularly checks back to make sure all is good. System Review My PV system is ground mounted (I believe ground mounting is far superior if space is available as your roof may not have the optimum angle and orientation) comprising of 2 rows of 10 X 310 W Bisol panels in portrait, 6.2 kWh in total. An Alpha 5 kW hybrid inverter. 2 x 5.7 kWh lithium (LFP) battery 5.5 usable from both Generation for year 1 was 6007 kWh. The system will feed available power to the house loads first if the house can't take all the power it will charge the battery or an EV if these 3 loads can't take all the generated power it will go to the grid 😟 for free. New feed in tariff coming this Summer 😁 so smart meters needed. Best savings with PV is when an electric vehicle is in the mix. The battery can also be timed to charge from the grid on a lower tarrif if available and used later to offset higher tarrif rate. The battery charge / discharge has 96% round trip efficiency, if charged with 1€ of electricity you get 96p usable During a blackout the system can be switched to UPS mode and can supply power to the house provided the battery is sufficiently charged it's a good idea to charge the battery when stormy weather is forecast. The inverter is internet connected and it's performance monitored from anywhere, the battery charging can be set remotely also via the app. Warranties. The inverter is warranted for10 years and the battery for 10 years, the panels are covered to output 85% for 25 years. Can't comment on reliability yet. The inverter is probably the most vulnerable part, but with such good warranties even if it lasts 5 years it will have paid for itself. The battery tech has been proven in EVs most EV manufacturers are giving 8 years 100,000 miles warranties. Very little to go wrong with PV panels.

I'm delighted with the quality of the system and the workmanship. Solar Home have a brilliant crew - super friendly, knowledgeable, professional and immaculate. Couldn't ask for anything more and have already recommended them to others.

Excellent service from solar home. They had a cancellation and gave me a ring to see if they could get my installation done earlier. Arrived at eight in the morning and by earl afternoon we were up and running. Very neat installation nice and tidy and a comprehensive explanation of system by Colum. Can't fault this company

Great service . Phoned so many Solar companies , and by the time the solar panels were installed and working , there was still other companies calling me to give me a price ! These guys are on the ball , everything done and dusted within a few weeks . Speedy service , Great customer service , quick and tidy job on the panels . Extremely happy with service overall and would highly recommend .

First got in contact with Shane in November 2021 for domestic and school installation. In December, Amanda from Solar Home recommended applying for SEAI grant for PV battery before it expired which was great advice. Three onsite appointments were cancelled. Contacted Aoife in the office numerous times between May and July as the deadline for installation approached. I was promised repeatedly by Aoife that Colm or Shane would get back to me and provide a quote. Nothing happened. I changed suppliers 2 weeks before the grant expired. If a company like Solar Home don't engage with the customer SEAI are very understanding and will amend the grant application. Found an alternative supplier who was very busy but when he made an appointment he stuck to it. In the process of having a 7kw system installed. Many people seem to be happy with Solar Home but my experience is the complete opposite.

Amazing Fast Efficient service. Professional Installation team of 6. 16 PV panels with inverter and hot water diverter installed in less than 6 hours. I fully recommend Solar Home as a Professional installation company. Thanks to the lads and Louise in the office for your help advice and manner.

I first contacted Brian late in 2020 to query an installation. Brian duly arrived and provided me a quote. For a variety of reasons, all on my side I did not proceed until late Q2'22 at which time Brian was equally attentive to my requirement. He attended site again to verify his measurements and I placed my order. Received an installation date 2-3 months out but I expected this considering how busy they are. Our installation date arrived as did a crew of 6 guys that got stuck in and had the panels (16 + 10kva battery) in place within a few hours. The electrician arrived promptly as the finished and by the end of the day, we had a working solar panel system feeding our home. The entire process when I eventually got off my own axx was utterly painless, the attention and service received 1st class and we now have a system that satisfies all of our daily needs in a house of 5 including three full sized teenagers. I would have no hesitation in recommending Solar Home if you are thinking about a PV installation.

Recently had 17panels, inverter and 10kw battery installed by Solarhome. From start to finish it has been a pleasure to deal with them. They have been friendly and professional, completing all work to a very high standard. Would throughly recommend them.

Great experience from first contacting Solar Home Ireland Ltd. Beyond 5 stars. The sales team basically held our hand during the entire process and answered all our questions on how the solar system works, the Solar products they used and discussed at length the system that would be the best fit for our needs. All pricing was clear, provided best value and we never once received a sales pressure call. The installation was completed on and in the day (as they said) really good quality and installation team were knowledgeable and well prepared. The system has functioned perfectly since install and has exceeded our expectations. The APP that comes with their Solar product is really good also. If you are planning to go down the Solar route, make sure you give Solar Home Ireland a call.

Can highly recommend Shane, Colm and the team at Solar Home. They are extremely knowledgeable in their subject matter, and our installation was carried out to the highest standards - no issues whatsoever 18 months on and the yield from our PV system has been fantastic over that time. Applying for the SEAI grant was a straightforward process, and everything was taken care of in a very professional manner, including the recent addition of a hot water diverter. Overall a very positive experience.

After thinking about installing solar panels for a number of years, we finally took the plunge. We took our time, priced and met with a number of companies. (>5) Shane answered all our questions during the site visit and took the time to price up multiple scenarios as we weren't sure what system to go for. Out of all the companies we spoke to, we felt Solar Home was the only one providing a fair price, future support and the best advice for our situation. There was no hard sell or pushy tactics. During the installation Colm and the team were fantastic. They consulted us on where we wanted everything to go and worked quickly and very neatly(no easy task to accomplish both) choosing the best cable routing for our situation. The team were respectful and took all necessary precautions(masks & hand sanitiser) while working inside the house. I have no hesitation in recommending Solar Home for your Solar PV project. Super job by Colm and his team. Very professional, honest and easy to deal with. Would have no hesitation in recommending Solar Home. First class and an example of how companies should be run. Customer focus from Brian the sales chap helps focus on what you need, no hard sell just advice, Aoife in the office pleasant and efficient, and the rest of the team deliver the goods. Shane and his team presented their services at our company several months back. After attending the presentation, I enquired and a few weeks later (after a number of calls), Shane visited our home and ran through our options. He seemed very knowledgeable and after taking some pictures, he promised to send us a quote immediately as we were keen to undertake the work. That was over two months ago. I emailed Shane and spoke to him on the phone several times, each time he assured me he was very busy but would get the quote to me the next working day! It was excuse after excuse. At this point it’s fair to say we will be going with another supplier. It speaks volumes if a professional like Shane cannot take the time to explain he is unable to do the job, but we did not get any explanation!!
