We had our PV panels installed by AEI and were very happy with the service provided. The installation has only just been commissioned (Jan 2024), so obviously no review is possible for the long term operation of the system. However, it must be said that the service from AEI from contract stage to the completion was second to none. Pauric, Jason and all the staff we dealt with were very professional. Our new build project was delayed on several occasions but AEI facilitated us each time and worked with us to complete the PV installation in stages. The cost was very competitive compared to other companies we contacted and we have no problem recommending AEI.

Alternative Energy Ireland recently installed a 6 kWp system on our roof at St. Kevin's Boys National School as part of the Solar PV for Schools scheme. From initial stages with Gavin, through to the Project Management and installation with Jason and Kieran, we received excellent service and it has been a very positive experience. The work has been completed to a high standard and with minimum disruption. The staff at AEI were extremely helpful and professional, and I would happily recommend this company. First class installation from start to finish. From ordering with Padraig in the beginning who explained the whole process to me and answered any questions that I had.... To the expertise of the panel installers... And the total professionalism of the electricians the whole job was done in an extremely efficient and clean and tidy manner. Jason handled all the logistics and timeline of the installation. Mary took care of all the administration which included the grant the BER cert and after installation performance survey. Serving approximately 80 Euro in the first month which was August 2023 an extremely wet and miserable month. Very happy with AEI. and highly recommend them.

Aei were excellent from start to finish, Pauric in Sales was knowledgeable and thorough. He took our needs on board and recommended the best Solar solution for our needs Brian who visited explained everthing in detail, Roofers were cordial and efficient, electricians were tidy and explained every step. We had our Solar Panels installed in April and would highly recommend AEI for their work.From the very beginning inquiring about prices and installation process,Pauric was very helpful and explained every step of the work. Once we signed up Jason kept us informed every step of the way and answered any queries we had. The work was quick enough and the lads were friendly and tidy. The app is grand for checking how much electricity we are generating. No problems so far but I'm sure I would have no problem getting anything sorted,good team working there.

I had reviewed a number of suppliers before I finally chose AEI for my solar panels solution. Pricing is a large factor in the decision but the service pre and post is also critical. I can honestly say, what a great decision to go with AEI ! They were and are the most professional pre sales team I have dealt with compared to their peers and I went out to 5 companies. The installation team couldn’t have been more pleasant, professional and detailed in their work (clearly take pride in their work and profession) and the post install after sale experience really is excellent so far. If there was an option to give 6 stars I would. I couldn’t recommend this company more as I know there are some cowboys out there. Thank you AEI and well done to the whole team for running such a great firm.

From start to completion, except for the unavoidable delay, AEI has been an excellent company to deal with for our solar panel installation. Coming to the house for a site visit before providing a quote was one of the things that set AEI apart. Their communication, workmanship and expertise have all been outstanding, and I would definitely recommend AEI to others.

Had my house assessed and kitted out with a 7 panel Solar PV solution, including inverter, EV Charger and Hot water diverted. Great system, easy to use. AEI also did all the grant paperwork which made working with them very easy.

From start to finish AEI were fantastic! knowledgeable, friendly & helpful, proactive and with clear communications - they did what they said they would do, and on the date they committed to. It was a very easy and enjoyable experience and I would thoroughly recommend AEI.

Here is whole journey with AEI. Asked for quote and info regarding solar PV and Gavin from sales explain everything to me (I decided to go with 11 panels + hybrid inverted for adding battery in the future). Whole pre-install paperwork and SEAI grants are dealt with AEI's help and its straighforward. Then waiting few months for installation which are done in 2 days (1 day for installing pannels and 1 day for cables and inverters and turn system on). Both roofers and electricians were very professional and left with everything clean. Inverter comes with wi-fi dongle to connect to the network for monitoring purposes. To monitoring from web and from app you need login access to Autarco (takes a day or two to get that). My roof is west facing and even with half day sun light I could see my bill drop drastically. I end up asking for the battery and AEI came in few days later to install it for me (installation was 15min). The weco batteries can connect with bluetooth and wi-fi as well and it has its own app for monitoring (You won't see anything battery info from Autarco, it takes few days to update your system to show batteries). Battery can also be setup to change at night to take advantage of cheap night rates. AEI have a good aftersale support to help with those kind of questions. Summary: Am I satisfied? Very! It's cheapest in the market? For sure no! But quality and professionalism doesn't come cheap right? Hope AEI last because a good aftersale and warranty support will make difference here.

Pleasure to deal with AEI on the PV panel installation on our dairy farm. A couple of minor issues that arose were very promptly dealt with by Conor and team. Installation contractors very professional and easy to work with also. Overall a very accessible company to deal with - any queries re resolution of issues or updates have been only ever been a phone call away. App interface very informative also on usage vs demand etc

From start to finish the entire process of getting up solar panels at my home was very smooth. I have been shopping around for the last 7-8 months before I selected AEI and I am happy I did it right. Very professional in workmanship.

I was looking at getting quotes for solar PV panels from multiple companies and went with AEI in the end and couldn’t be happier. The sales rep was very patient with all my questions regarding the quote. They actually advised against selling me a high capacity battery (which would have made them more money) due to the recent government buy back scheme for feeding electricity back into the grid and the current high cost of batteries. They also reduced the price for me right away and then went for the government grant (2400€) by themselves. Many other providers make you pay the full cost upfront and then you have to wait till the government refunds you the 2,4K. Installation was done timely and professionally. At the time I placed the order I was quoted up to 13 weeks into panel installation. They actually arrived earlier then that and the panels are now installed and up and running within tje 13 weeks. My family in Germany is also buying panels at the same time and they have to wait till March 2023 for installation, so I am more then happy with it. Communication was great, service was great and everything went without a hitch. It’s a big investment but I would not hesitate to recommend AEI to anyone who is interested in Solar Power.

AEI recently installed PV system complete with dual battery storage and car charger. The service from initial contact with Brian in respect of my requirements through to the installation by Emmett and his crew was excellent . I am very pleased with how the system is performing and the prompt attention to any after sales queries. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering investing in RE due to level of professionalism of the employees and quality of equipment supplied.
