Given the hype around PV at the moment Alternative Energy provided a great system for us at a great price. PV and battery performing well and the savings have already been seen on electricity bills. Thanks Jerome/Ronan. Barry

From start to finish we found dealing with Ronan, Jerome & their team very easy & reassuring. The work was completed very efficiently & they left the house very tidy when finished. Also, great follow up by them on paperwork for the grant which was a great help. We highly recommend this company.

Excellent company to deal with from start to finish. Ladies in the office were very helpful before and after the work was done with making sure our paperwork was in order for our grant. The lads that completed the job were very professional, in and out with no disturbance and no mess. Overall very happy with this company and our ESB savings since the installation, would definitely recommend.

After getting 10 quotes for solar I went with alternative energy. Lads were able to solve issues with access to my fuseboard and install was done with very little disruption. They were also at the end of the phone or text with any questions I has post install. I have recommended them to all my neighbours.

Being a National School in West Cork, we considered solar offerings from five different providers. Alternative Energy was very helpful throughout the entire process and also had a very competitive price. They were very accommodating in scheduling the installation around the school schedule. They arrived on time and worked smoothly throughout the day completing the project in a timely manner. Got a number of quotes and despite having one lower than AE I opted to spend the extra as my conversations with Jerome instilled confidence. Every interaction was professional yet friendly, including, most importantly, installation day. As it transpired it was the hottest day of the year , thankfully everything went well. The array on the roof blends in nicely and we're seeing savings already: incidentally our BER saw a significant leap following the install. Have no hesitation recommending AE and would be my first post of call if we move house

We use a lot of electricity. Also our experiences of providers have not been that good so wanted to make ourselves as independent as practical. We obtained quotes from two companies. "Alternativeenergy" came two or three times, outlined clearly our possibilities, answered our questions satisfactorily and seemed able to give us what we hoped for and at a reasonable price. Having agreed and paid our deposit they kept pretty well to the schedule they had promised, installed with the minimum of disruption and in a reasonable timescale . The finished result, batteries and inverters etc look very professional indeed and I am sure will add to the value of our house. More to the point the app which the installers helped us put on the ipad show that the system appears to be working very well, even tho' we are midwinter. Now we just await the effect on our bills!

From quotation stage with John, to on site meetings with Ronan and the project engineers and architect team. Ronan and his team provided an excellent and efficient service. We would be delighted to work with this company again.

This company was recommended to me by my son-in-law for whom they had already done an excellent job. I made direct contact with the main man Jerome Carlin in October 2022. The company sent me on a menu of options from which to choose. I opted for the middle of the price range which consisted of 10 420w Huawei panels along with a Huawei inverter. The work was carried out by two teams. The first three man team installed the panels in an impressive 5 hours. The second separate three man team did all the electrics in a day a few weeks later. I was very impressed with the workmanship in both cases. It was of the highest order and the chaps involved were a pleasure to deal with. All the paperwork including assistance with grant application was carried out with efficiency by Corinna in the back office. I would have no hesitation in recommending alternativeenergy.ie to install and commission solar panels. In fact a friend of mine has already gone with them on my recommendation. Alternative Energy installed our solar PV system in October 2021. Ronan and Jerome were highly professional in our dealings with them. They exhibited good communication skills throughout our dealings. The system was neatly installed and the house was left in good condition when they were finished. Got quotes from number of installers before deciding on Alternative Energy. Why? Because they gave me a quote based on roof space available and compatible with SEAI, and not based on my annual usage as others had done. On discussing it with them, everything was explained and they also gave me the option of ground mounting some panels. Went with 8 roof mounted panels and 6 ground mounted, and 4.8k battery. Quote was the most competitive. Installed mid September over 2 days. Roofers one day, electricians the next day. Very very tidy workmanship. Roofers even replaced 2 broken slates before they even started. Electrical install very tidy too. No waste or rubbish left after install, everything cleaned up and left tidy. Installed mid Sept, and very happy with system. One two small issues/queries post installation tidied up without hesitation by Jerome. Overall, very happy with pv install, (why didn't I do it years ago). Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Alternative Energy - price good, work very good, support very good, all documentation submitted promptly to SEAI for grant processing. Copies of all documentation given to me too. Start to finish, Alternative Energy were very easy to deal with.

Ronan and Jerome installed our solar pv panels about 3 months ago, working a treat so far. Excellent guys, we found them professional and courteous to deal with. We experienced great communication before, during and after installation. We were impressed by their attention to detail and neatness of wiring runs etc. We have no hesitation in recommending this company.
