In mid June 23, PV Generation following their good advice, installed a 4kw system with 10 Sunpower panels secured on our roof. The roof faces due South in the D15 area. Since then we have produced near 2Mwh of power used with over 60 per cent of this sent to the grid and the remaining used in the house including for hot water. The savings are considerable with payback well underway. The install was quick and generally without fuss or worry. The system operates on its own and can be monitored from anywhere with the App provided. The panels also assist us to economise on our power requirements during the day. For example bright times mean free power for various appliances. Yes ireland can be dull but there is always a bit of power being produced which takes care of the fridge or charging a mobile for example. It all helps and creates credit on o our bills. It is an education for the kids. Can I add that the back up and friendly support provided by the PV Generation is always available and are ready to assist. Once a customer always a customer says Natasha in Customer Care. Another advantage is that our house gained in its BER rating from C1 to almost a B2 rating. The BER cert is all part of the Service which is explained clearly from day one by PV Generation. There is no disadvantage really. The Sunpower panels although more expensive than others are neater, more aesthetic and designed to last longer on the roof which is the reason why we went with PV Generation Written by a Chartered Civil Engineer

I started researching solar panels at the start of the summer 2023 and got quotes from a few different companies. We got varying reports suggesting that our roof would only accommodate between 10 and 12 panels when I thought we could accommodate up to 16. PV Gen sent out Mark McKeever who spent approx 2 hours with us going through the full ins and outs of the system in great detail. He was confident we could get the 16 panels and maybe more but said a site survey by one of the engineers would confirm. Within two weeks a site engineer called and confirmed that we would be able to get 18 panels on the roof. He then sent on a virtual plan of the roof and ran everything by us first to make sure we would be happy with the layout of the panels. Installation was then scheduled and within 2 weeks we had the panels installed and electrician had called to connect all up to inverter. The BER rating was done a short time after this and we were happy to see our rating improve. The whole process was seamless and Natasha Mulhall from the PV Gen office was in regular contact to give us updates on each step of the process. Our esb bill for August 2023 was approx €460 and this coincided with our installation. So the next bimonthly bill would give us a good understanding of where we'd be at with the panels. Our next esb bill in October 2023 was for €70.00. A very good reduction considering that it was still into Autumn when our panels were installed and the days were shorter than they would be in high summer. I'm really looking forward to seeing how we do next year with the panels. All in all I'm very happy with our experience so far with PV Generation and I would be very happy to recommend them.

We contacted PV Generation in early October from Mark arriving on site to Natasha in customer care everything went smoothly.Engineers arrived on site Monday 8.30 AM installed 18 solar panels electrical and paper work complete and off site by 12 noon all up and running unbelievable team work. Excellent service from start to finish. Sales Rep explained everything in detail, installation went without a hitch, huge savings on electricity costs. We added more panels 6 months later, and once again, everything was first class. I have also recently received the €250 referral payment for a friend's installation. Great company

Everything was easy from start to finish

Happy with PV Generation and the quality of the roof and electrical installation teams - all every professional and courteous. My only issue is that they did not provide the additional CT clamp to show the solar generation of my panels on the Myenergi App. Not a mayor issue - it just means that I have to use two Apps rather than one to show generation and usage.

A great experience from start to finish. One small hiccup with the app in the beginning. Fixed immediately. Would highly recommend.

The whole buying, financing and installation process went very smooth. The only comment is that the communication sales>office>planning>execution team is not perfect and I had to dicuss some topics over and over again with each team . However the final product worths ever effort.

When I started researching solar panels I found myself in the middle of a minefield Until my Son in law got some installed he had done all the hard work researching lots of different companies some of them much cheaper than PV Generation but the quality of the system was not good You only get what you pay for So my first phone call was to Robert Walsh +353 86 387 4415 Robert explained everything to me with no pressure at all he just made sure that I knew exactly what I was getting and what the cost would be Bob was there for me day and night to answer any questions I had and right throughout the process So Noel came to do the survey with his drone then explained where the panels would be best placed Then the day of fitting them came Wow the vans with the crews came The Electrician Dean and his mate Karol explained everything that they needed to do and carried out everything without any mess the wore shoe protectors at all times Dean went above the call of duty to explain everything to me The roofers Killian, Chris & Ryan were unbelievable they were very well organised and carried out the work with no mess or fuss Thank you one and all for a wonderful job Of course I have to thank the very lovely and helpful Natasha who helped me through the paperwork and applied for the Grant and anything else that needed doing I would highly recommend this company Please remember to tell them that I recommended them Do not hesitate to contact them as many other companies are cheaper but PV Generation use top quality components so once again thanks to all at PV Generation Kind regards Simon Geoghegan

I recently got an install from PV generation and I have to comment on how excellent the service and installation was. Firstly, from the initial survey, quote, more detailed survey to final installation went swimmingly. Couldn’t fault them. The installation itself is immaculate and coming from a background similar to these installers, I couldn’t fault it. Absolutely brilliant workmanship. If you are looking to get PV installed, PV generation are definitely worth getting in touch with for a quote. Very well run company, fair play to all involved.

I was one of the people who would have rated this company highly. On the 1st September 2023, 22 months after the instalation the system stopped working. I contacted PV Generation describing the problem as a lack of hot water and readings on the solarman app that made no sense. Battery at 100%, no 54w drawdown from the grid, consumption of 15w. For three weeks I was asked to check this, check that, take a photo of this, take a photo of that. At one point I was asked to commuicate directly with a component supplier. I declined on the basis that PV GEN was the contractual party. Finally, 3 weeks later, it was determined on the 21 September that the inverter was not functioning and needed to be replaced. It is now the 29th September and the system is still not functioning, no replacement inverter has arrived. PV GEN like many solar installers are very busy, but that time will pass and systems will require maintenance after sales/warrenty support. Here they are absolutely appalling. One visit from a technician could have diagnosed the problem in less than an hour. Yet over a month later, the system remains offline. I have recommended them to several friends, but after this experience I could not possibly endorse them. Its easy to take your money and install the system, but after sales service is what really distinguishes a good company from the rest. UPDATE:It is now almost five weeks and I have been advised that the new inverter is due to be delivered to PV GEN tomorrow, 4th October, 35 days after the Inverter stopped working. I have been advised that they will fit it "as soon as possible"!!! Well finally on the 22November the UK manufacturer, BPE, supplied a refurbed inverter! PV Generation are as unhappy as I am, but to get the system up and running after 102 days it was fitted on the 27th Nov. Ungortunately our batteries are now malfunctioning due to li Lying idle. 12 daus of BPE again fiddling about an agreement has been reached with PV Generation to replsce the Inverter and batteries with a new set from a different manufacturer.

As far as I am concerned, I have wasted 16000 euro. Big delay from when I signed contract to actually getting the panels installed. The orientation of the panels looks like they were lashed up, handover and explanation of how to operate the system was very very poor. BER rating was actually lowered after spending all that money - one thing this company do well is hounding customers for money. I would tie your BER rating to payment of closing balance and I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

I recently had 8 Solar Panels installed. After a lot of research, I chose to go with PVGEN. Mr Tony Diamond came to my house to survey the works. He met with me on 3 occasions at my house to answer any queries I had. Tony was very forthright and honest and gave me the confidence I needed with the decision I had made to proceed with the installation. The installation was scheduled within 4 weeks and the installation took just 4 hours. The fitters were very courteous, clean and professional. The app that I use along with the system is very user friendly and informative. Great Job. Very Pleased. Michael.

We had 8 panels installed by PV Generation on our house in Rosslare in August 2022. Since then our electricity bill has been ZERO. Indeed our current bill, to Mar 17 2023, shows us still being in credit to the tune of €100. We've also managed to export a total of 700KW to the grid and been paid €130 for the privilege. Best money we ever invested!

From our initial quotes from different companies we chose PV Generation as the salesman (Joe Long) was very professional. He didn't offer the hard sell (which we hate) and tailored our Solar panel order to suit our costs and usage requirements in an easily understood and efficient way. We had five different quotes and I only wanted to order from this company after them. Also because of the type of panels they use are of a superior brand to those sold in other companies quotes. The install was quick and painless, so thank you to the fitting team from Monaghan. I'd also like to thank Jair from Tech Support who helped me through the set up of the app, after the install. Would highly recommend PV generation . Mark and the team were very efficient and very helpful with an queries I had . Couldnt fault them at all . Mark made it so easy to order our solar panles and explained the whole process so well . Our solar panles are working so well and have saved us money already!!! Thanks Marie
