Grid Solar

Darren and team were very knowledgeable and professional. I did ask quite a lot of questions to Darren pre-install and he addressed each query with utmost patience and offered suggestions where needed. The install was great, as expected and the system has been working perfectly. I'll be looking to him to get more panels on the back of the house when the time comes and also another battery, Eddie etc. and will recommend to anyone that asks about solar. My Own Opinion: If you are on the fence about getting solar I would suggest you go for it if it suits your needs and you understand the expectations of the system. I would say you should really consider getting a battery (or more than one) so you can use some of the power generated in the evenings as otherwise you will feed a lot out to the grid. [If you are not home during the day to use it that is]

We have been extremely happy with Grid Solar. From initial contact to request a quote, through to completion and handover of the solar install, Darren and Niamh have been excellent to deal with. They answered every question we asked, and we asked a lot of questions before, during, and after the install. This included questions about how the new install would fit with our existing evacuated tube solar system for heating water, a question which some other companies did not respond to at all. Their answers were thorough and reassuringly honest. They could have given us answers that encouraged us to spend more money with them, but they didn't do that at all, instead they gave us all of the information we needed in order to make informed decisions. And both their roofing crew and electrical crew were great to deal with too. They arrived on time, were very friendly to deal with, completed their work with no fuss, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. We couldn't have asked for more. We were hesitant to consider a solar PV install for a long time, one reason being that we expected the work to take a long time and be very disruptive. But our experience has been entirely positive, the work was completed very quickly and with little or no disruption to us at all. We now have a fully functioning system (17x Jinko 440W solar panels, 5kW Solis hybrid inverter, 2x 5.3kW Weco batteries) which is already performing better than we had hoped. The panels and batteries are supplying a lot of the power consumed within the house, and the excess is being exported to the grid, and all of this is easily visible via the Solis app and/or website. We would happily use Grid Solar again in the future, and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
