Alternative Energy Ireland installed our Solar PV System recently. We are really delighted with every aspect of the service the company provides. The panels were installed initially by one team and subsequently connected to the grid by a second team. Both teams were so very helpful and efficient, and very easy to have in the house. I was very reassured by both team's emphasis on safety. We can see through an app on our phones just how the panels are preforming and how much electricity is being generated. I found the sales person to be very helpful and constructive in his advice, and he left us make our own decision without any pressure. He helped us with the administration of the grant application and in this area the company provides a wonderful service. We have also been very impressed with the back up service and know that our panels can be checked remotely which is very reassuring. And help is just a phone call away. I really can't speak highly enough of AEI and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others considering the installation of a Solar PV System.

We recently had solar panels fitted by this company and are very pleased with the product and service. Our first point of contact was Paul who was both professional and friendly, talked us through the process and answered all questions we had while offering advice on certain details. At every stage thereafter we were kept fully updated regarding installation times etc and again we found all the workers friendly and professional. From start to finish the whole process took approximately six weeks and ran seamlessly. Well done to Paul and his team from a very satisfied customer.

After done enough homework for searching and comparing about solar panels companies in Ireland, I chose AEI and glad so far, it proves my choice is a great one. From Andy who came did survey for the house, to Jason... whole crew are so pleasant, and professional to deal with. And they super patient with my endless questions. I was absolutely overwhelmed when see it starts selling electric back already right the day after whole installation done. BTW, it was not a sunny day (27 june) at all. Happy to recommend AEI and wish their businesses continue success!

We found most solar companies just wanted to get as many panels on our roof as possible however Alternative Energy Ireland (AEI) were the first to say that only a certain amount would work effectively due to our large chimney causing a shadow over certain panels. This was the point we realised AEI were genuinely interested in delivering the most effective service and not about getting as much money for installing as many panels that would fit on our roof. From there on both Gavin and Jason were in regular contact updating us at each step. On the actual installation stage both the roofing team and electrical team did an amazing job. I’d have no hesitation in recommending AEI as they made the whole process hassle free and are still in contact after the installation to make sure we’ve no queries.

Was very impressed with the complete operation. On the actual day it was planned they stopped work due to high wind conditions, health & safety was paramount. They arrived back on a rescheduled date and work was completed to my satisfaction. Would highly recommended them to anyone

AEI were great to deal with. They have my system up and running within 6 weeks of me requesting a quote. The process of getting everything setup was seamless and Jason looked after everything behind the scenes for me. Would definitely recommend AEI

Just had 14 panels, inverter and battery installed. Explanations and documentation provided was excellent as was the install experience. I was impressed with their professional approach and execution of the project. Highly recommended.

Im Deirdre . From oulart. Co wexford. A real human being.... Well everyone. I got solar a 6kw system 20 panels and 4 battery's in july 2019. A.E.I fitted and took care of everything. The lads fitting the system were under Stephen Kennedy and they were clean., fast and tidy with every detail. You would not know they were in your house. The best investment ever. It is now June 2023 and I have recooped all of my investment. There is always someone on the end of the phone in the company if you have any questions to answer.. I'm now going to invest in another system. And definitely staying with A.E.I.. and it is great to be getting a return from the exported units I don't need. For example...I only pay for electricity from mid October to mid march. And its has brought my winter bill down by half.... no summer bills. Except the standing charge. A.E.I are... I was looking at getting a PV solar system for a long time. I looked a Multiple supplier and eventually selected AEI for my 7.2kw PV system which consisted of 8 panels on the back of the house and 10 panels on the front as the house is east/west facing. I found them very easy to deal with the installers both roof and electric who came when they said they would. I would have to complement Aaron the electrician who did the electrical work on the systems. He went above and beyond in terms of accommodating my request re the cables runs to make them as neat and tidy as they could be. AEI were much better value then other companies I get quotes from ( and I did shop around ) . I was also conscious that I wanted to purchase my system from a large company that will be around for many years to come if i was ever to have any issues with the system. I was reassured with AEI being part or the CERTA which is a DCC company. Just to finish off. The kilowatt hour guarantee on the out put of the system is something i had not seem before. AEI are the only company to offer this so they are putting their money where their mouth is re the out put of the system which again is reassuring

Apart from one or two issues, in general I had an excellent experience with this company. I contacted them late last year and got 12 panels installed in May. My bills have dropped dramatically and all the staff to all the installers were very good. I checked into a few different companies and the rates are very competitive and actually, did not try to upsell me at all. I am having a slight issue with the App, but I believe this will be rectified in time as it is connectivity issues, but when this works you can see what the usage is etc..... All the installers were professional and very clean when installing the panels

We have recently (May 2021) had our solar panels installed by AEI. The entire process was very painless and easy. I sought quotes from three suppliers. AEI were the most competitive for what I wanted and I liked their approach. Even throughout the Covid-19 restrictions they kept in contact to reassure me that once the restrictions would be lifted I would hold my place in the queue. The installation crew completed the job very efficiently and minimised any necessary disruption to the power supply etc. Overall I am very happy to recommend AEI if you are considering installing solar panels.

We had our PV panels installed by AEI and were very happy with the service provided. The installation has only just been commissioned (Jan 2024), so obviously no review is possible for the long term operation of the system. However, it must be said that the service from AEI from contract stage to the completion was second to none. Pauric, Jason and all the staff we dealt with were very professional. Our new build project was delayed on several occasions but AEI facilitated us each time and worked with us to complete the PV installation in stages. The cost was very competitive compared to other companies we contacted and we have no problem recommending AEI.

Alternative Energy Ireland recently installed a 6 kWp system on our roof at St. Kevin's Boys National School as part of the Solar PV for Schools scheme. From initial stages with Gavin, through to the Project Management and installation with Jason and Kieran, we received excellent service and it has been a very positive experience. The work has been completed to a high standard and with minimum disruption. The staff at AEI were extremely helpful and professional, and I would happily recommend this company. First class installation from start to finish. From ordering with Padraig in the beginning who explained the whole process to me and answered any questions that I had.... To the expertise of the panel installers... And the total professionalism of the electricians the whole job was done in an extremely efficient and clean and tidy manner. Jason handled all the logistics and timeline of the installation. Mary took care of all the administration which included the grant the BER cert and after installation performance survey. Serving approximately 80 Euro in the first month which was August 2023 an extremely wet and miserable month. Very happy with AEI. and highly recommend them.

Aei were excellent from start to finish, Pauric in Sales was knowledgeable and thorough. He took our needs on board and recommended the best Solar solution for our needs Brian who visited explained everthing in detail, Roofers were cordial and efficient, electricians were tidy and explained every step. We had our Solar Panels installed in April and would highly recommend AEI for their work.From the very beginning inquiring about prices and installation process,Pauric was very helpful and explained every step of the work. Once we signed up Jason kept us informed every step of the way and answered any queries we had. The work was quick enough and the lads were friendly and tidy. The app is grand for checking how much electricity we are generating. No problems so far but I'm sure I would have no problem getting anything sorted,good team working there.

I had reviewed a number of suppliers before I finally chose AEI for my solar panels solution. Pricing is a large factor in the decision but the service pre and post is also critical. I can honestly say, what a great decision to go with AEI ! They were and are the most professional pre sales team I have dealt with compared to their peers and I went out to 5 companies. The installation team couldn’t have been more pleasant, professional and detailed in their work (clearly take pride in their work and profession) and the post install after sale experience really is excellent so far. If there was an option to give 6 stars I would. I couldn’t recommend this company more as I know there are some cowboys out there. Thank you AEI and well done to the whole team for running such a great firm.

From start to completion, except for the unavoidable delay, AEI has been an excellent company to deal with for our solar panel installation. Coming to the house for a site visit before providing a quote was one of the things that set AEI apart. Their communication, workmanship and expertise have all been outstanding, and I would definitely recommend AEI to others.
